A FAMILY OF PERFORMERS

Ilaria was born into a family of talented performers. Exposed to the arts at a young age, she quickly found passion in playwriting. While her mother and father stole the spotlight as a ballroom duo, she hid behind the wings and dedicated herself to her craft. Childhood was wherever her parents found work, often traveling between the Gold Saucer and the Sector 8 Theatre.

The leaf House

Born into her family rather late, Ilaria found herself supporting her mother and father after the prime of their careers. Eventually making a permanent home on the Plate, the couple used their life savings to open a dance studio. This proved to support them for a time. However, with the rise of Shinra industrialization, attention to the arts dwindled and so did the studio's clientele. To help her family afford housing on the Plate and put herself through university, Ilaria found work in the Leaf House, as well as a passion for teaching children.

After completing her undergraduate degree in creative writing, Ilaria decided to continue working at the Leaf House full time. There, between lessons, she can be found working on her plays. Often overwhelmed by the themes of her heavier works, she sets time aside to write plays for her students.

Inspired by famous playwrights of the past, Ilaria submits her more controversial plays under a pseudonym. Themes often include revolution, self-determination, a return to nature, and personal autonomy. She supports AVALANCHE and the end of corporatocracy in Midgar.
